Some of the Priorities of The Religious Diversity Centre according to its Strategic Plan are that the organisation is committed:

• to commission critical research work pertaining to religious diversity in the context of an increasingly diverse Aotearoa New Zealand population demographic
• to be nationally proactive in providing educational events and resources reinforcing the positive value of religious diversity.

The Statement on Religious Diversity (4th edition, 2026) was developed by the New Zealand Human Rights Commission and the Religious Diversity Centre. Emeritus Professor Paul Morris, a Trustee of The RDC, wrote the text in conjunction with Race Relations Commissioner Melissa Derby and Senior Advisor Nera Tautau.
