This was organised by Centre Coordinator Dr Todd Nachowitz and Rakesh Naidoo of the Human Rights Commission. Presentations  explained the NZ Immigration visa application process, and the immigration border operations. Discussion followed when questions and problems concerning the visa application process for religious workers coming to work in the country from overseas, and the general situation of immigration border operations, were raised, explained and discussed.Everyone present expressed satisfaction that important questions and problems could be discussed in this face to face situation. The NZ Immigration officials undertook to return for a second workshop, for further discussion after they have undertaken wider consultation.
