Climate Action in Auckland

St Matthew-in-the-City is an Anglican church in the heart of bustling central Auckland.
Here is an example of their contribution to the environment:

St Matthew-in-the-City is making the climate crisis a major part of its community action.  We have a monthly meeting of a climate justice group, have installed 5 large compost bins for the surrounding community to use, and are planning a Climate Forum on the 27th October which will be personal stories of climate activism from economists, community people, artists, poets. We owe it to nature and to our descendants to live more simply and rapidly decrease our carbon emissions.

The church garden, productive and diverse, a place to commune with nature.  The compost bins can be seen in the distance on the left.
